Hunting Part 2: Chapter 3

And we are back to Lian. I promise that I'll get back to the artist/Butcher/Sho in two chapters. Next chapter is going to be [SPOILERS]Iris' story[/SPOILERS]

Chapter 3

Lian checked that her pistol was loaded before stepping out from the alcove and proceeding into the slum. She had been around this wretched Arc three times in the past year and had still found nothing.
Three times. One year. And no sign of the artist. No sign of Sho. The only good side of it was that there had been no more killings in her particular style, and Lian knew that Sho would never start killing in another style.
She kept her pistol drawn as she walked through the slums of Poletown. This place was disgusting. A mess. A disgrace to the Arc and everything that it had once stood for.
She shook her head as she turned into an alleyway. What the Arc stood for. What a joke. Once it had been a gleaming bastion of hope, a project started by the free miners of the Solar System, a haven for anyone who needed a haven. She remembered the first joining of ships that had been the beginning of the Arc.
But that was all in the past. It had been too long since the Star’s End had migrated over to the outer ring of Saturn and set up shop. Even longer since Lian and Sho had won them the rights to mine there from Maker’s Rock.
Too long. When it grew large enough to need a government the Arc had been ruined. In a little under a decade it had been transformed into the place to be in the Solar System. Lian had seen it all happen, had grown up on this place, had been a part of the crew, a miner, a systems tech, one of us until the government had arrived and she had become one of them.
She shook her head and move further into the alley. As she walked she heard a woman’s scream and broke into a run.
She came around the corner and saw a young teenager cornered by a gang of three men, almost boys. The lead one had a knife, and the other two were beginning to unbuckle their pants.
“Stop! Leave that girl alone” Lian shouted as she came to a halt.
The two unbuckling their pants turned to face Lian.
“Oh, you want to join in the fun? Come on over here girly, we’ll fun you up for sure”
Lian shot the first one in the face. As the second one’s eyes widened in fear the one with the knife lunged for the girl, so she put a bullet in him too.
As he jerked from the impact she shot him again, and swung the pistol to aim at the only one still living.
“You had best run, now, or I shoot you too”
The boy ran.
Lian made sure that he was gone before holstering her pistol and running to the girl.
“Are you ok? Come on, lets get out of here before he comes back with friends” she grabbed the girls arm and began to tug her along.
“Whats a girl like you doing out here anyways?”
The girl pulled her arm from Lian’s grasp and scowled at her.
“Do you know what you’ve done!” She did not sound happy.
“I thought that I had saved you from a very unhappy fate”
“No! You ruined weeks of work! Do you know how long it took me to figure out their patterns! They would have had their way with me and I would have begged to be taken along. And once I got back to their hideout I’d activate the transponder and the cops would burst in and kill them all”
Lian stepped back and stared at the girl.
“You’d use yourself as bait? You’d put yourself through that?”
“To bring down one of the cartels? Yes. Yes, I would”
“You are insane”
The girl looked at Lian oddly for a moment, and then her hand drifted behind her.
“Why do you have a gun?”
“Because I do”
“Why did you shoot to kill them though? Thats illegal unless you are police. And I don’t think you are or else you would have been told to clear out. So who are you?”
“You’re pretty brave to accuse me of illegal activity without a weapon”
“Oh, I can activate the transponder faster than you can blink. And then you won’t escape even if you do kill me. So its in your best interests not to kill me”
“Really? Is that so? What if I shoot you through the transponder?”
“Like I said, I can activate it faster than you can blink”
“Right. Well, how about I leave, and you go back to your undercover operations, and I never come back here again”
“Not going to work. Explain who you are”
Lian shook her head slowly.
“Are you really going to do this? Fine. I’m an Arcernment special agent on a mission from Director Callion himself. I’m hunting for any evidence that the Butcher of Calton may have remained on the Arc instead of leaving it. Satisfied?”
The girl bristled at her speech, but Lian ignored her and fished around in her pocket for the card she had had a computer make for her, and waved it under the girl’s nose.
“Now I am going to leave”
Lian had made it all of three steps when the girl’s voice rang out again.
“Wait!”
Grinding her teeth Lian turned back.
“What? The longer we delay here the more time those morons have to make it back here”
“I have information” Her voice was full of joy and excitement.
“...What?”
“About the Butcher”
“Ah. Well, tell me then”
“I heard that she frequented a chop shop around here”
“Where do you think I am headed?”
“Oh” The girl’s elation at helping to catch a criminal deflated a bit.
“Why are you so happy to be helping me?”
“Because I’m helping to catch a criminal”
“Yes, but you were undercover to…You weren’t really undercover were you?”
“What do you mean? Of course I was!”
“No, I don’t think you were. Let me see your transponder”
“I can’t. Its embedded”
“And that’s your mistake. The security force never issues implanted transponders. Too easy to be scanned. You’re not with security are you?”
“Of course-”
“No. You are a spoiled rich girl who thought that she would have an adventure and make the world a better place. Come with me”
Lian grabbed the girl by the wrist and began to tug her along again.
“You’ll be safe enough with me until I can finish my business. And then I am taking you back to the railcar station and sticking you on a car to wherever you belong. Security can pick you up there and escort you home”
“No! I can’t go back!”
“Yes you can. Whatever is so bad about your home it can’t be worse than being raped by a bunch of thugs again and again in Poletown”
“You don’t know my father”
“Well I am sure that he is not worse than being raped”
“Callion is worse than that”
“Yes, but Callion is not…Are you saying that Callion is your father? The man doesn’t have any children!”
“Not any legitimate children. But I’m his favourite whores girl, so he said that I’m his. He shot my mother when she refused to let me go. I hate him. You can’t take me back”
“Oh, I have no intention of that anymore. How much do you hate him?” gears meshed and whirled in Lian’s head. This was a golden opportunity.
“What do you mean?”
“I mean how much do you hate him? Is this just some ‘daughter being rebellious’ phase, or is it true bone-deep hatred? The kind where you want him dead?”
“Yes”
“Why haven’t you killed him then?”
“He is too well protected. Even in his sleep, even in his own home”
“Then you are coming with me”
“Why? So that you can turn me over for plotting to kill my father? He already knows that. He’ll just beat me more”
“No. Because I lied to you. I’m not an agent. I am, I guess, a rebel and seditionist. I’m a friend to the Butcher, and have tried to subvert the Arc’s best agent”
“Jor Mallar?”
“Yes, him. He hates your father as much as you do you know that? I could see it in the way he moved”
“Wait. You said that you were the Butcher’s friend! Monster!”
“Oh, shut up. I knew her before she was a monster. I knew her when she was just a frightened little girl. And now I try and help her become a person again. Why do you think I am looking for her?”
“You mean that was the truth?”
“Yes, that was the truth. Now, if you want your father dead, come with me. I’ll bring you to Jor and then from there we can figure out what to do with you”
“I thought you were going to find the Butcher?”
“Her name is Sho, and this is more important. She hasn’t killed anyone for over a year, so I’d say that its safe to leave her for a bit longer. Now come on. And shush. We don’t want them to hear us”
Lian dragged the girl along before she could say anything else. Back through the streets and alleys the way that she had come until they reached the dumpy motel that she had booked a room at.
Not until she had locked the door to the room, dragged the girl into the bathroom and turned on the taps to maximum did she open her mouth again.
“So who are you? Start from the beginning”
The girl looked at Lian, and for the first time Lian got a good look at the girl.
Not more than fifteen she was curvaceous, slim and average height. She had big eyes and short shoulder length blonde hair. But she was trembling, and her eyes were filled with fear.
“Oh, I’m so sorry” Lian leaned forwards and put her arm around the girl as she began to cry “I didn’t, I shouldn’t have, I thought. I thought that you were ok with all this. I didn’t think that you might be scared. You don’t have to get involved. I’ll give you credits and get you passage to a small colony somewhere where callion will never find you”
“No” the girl managed between sniffles “Its ok. I want to do this. I want to bring him down for what he did to my mother”
She pushed Lian away and wiped her tears on her sleeve.
“My name is Iris. My mother’s name is Cassy. And I guess I should start with how this all began…”

Hunting you Hunting me Part 2: Chapter 2

This one is shorter. Finished

The fighters spun through space. Lines of fire traced paths across his field of view as the two fleets engaged in battle.
Below him Mars turned, seemingly oblivious to the battle above. More pinpricks of light on the surface showed that it would not remain oblivious for long as another round of STA missiles launched up at the Colony forces.
“Lori? You got us a heading yet?”
“Not yet sir. One moment”
The agent swung his turret and spat fire at another enemy fighter. It burst into flames as his bullets found the engines and it spiralled off towards another part of the battle.
“Any time now would be great!”
“They haven’t lowered the shields around the bay yet. Until they do that then we just need to hang tight. They may be inclined to lower them sooner if we clear all the enemy fighters out of the area”
Alexander’s voice drifted out of one of the other gunwells “Well, the more enemy fighters we kill the more come to fight us! Plus, they are pretty mad about that whole ‘assassinated their generals’ thing”
“Lori, patch me through to the ship. They will lower that containment field now”
“Yes sir”
The agent spun his turret and put a hole through the cockpit of another fighter before leaning over to toggle the speaker on.
Redemption? This is Agent Jor aboard the dropship Hope, why aren’t those bay shields lowered?”
“Sir. There are too many enemy fighters in the vicinity. If we open the bay doors then we risk suffering internal damage from their fire. Until you can clear the enemy fighters away we can’t lower the shields”
“Well, can’t you lend us some fighters to help clear the area? I have an agent in critical condition aboard!”
Another voice cut in, weaker.
“Give her to me son. I want to talk to the Agent”
“Yes sir” to the agent now “I’m putting on Captain Zane now”
“Jor you are being unreasonable” Zane’s stern voice filled the gunwell. It had been described as being a parade ground voice. All that the agent knew was that it meant both safety and dependable reliability. And unshakeable loyalty to his men.
“I know that Zane. Now, can you spare any fighters?”
The agent could hear Zane sigh and could almost picture him rubbing his brow in frustration “Listen Jor, if we took fighters from other parts of the battle to help you then we would be in danger of losing the battle. Far more people would be placed into critical condition or even dead. Now, you are distracting me when I have a battle to run. I am sorry for your team member, but I heard you have a good medic. Get him working on it, and just hang on. If need be, take yourself and hightail it out of the fight, onto the fringes where you’ll be safe from enemy fire”
He heard the click of a disconnect as Thomas moaned in pain again.
“Dammit Zane, its my medic who is injured!” the agent shook his head before turning back to the starfield before him. He lined up another enemy fighter and was about to fire when the dropship spun and lurched.
“Lori?”
“Just dodging the STAMs boss. We getting the shield lowered any time soon?”
“Not until we can clear the fighters from the area?”
“We getting any backup?” Alexander’s voice came echoing up out of the gunwel again. The other gunwells were aimed the wrong way for the sound of the conversation to carry.
“No. But the captain did give us the option of sitting the battle out so as to not have to dodge and risk destabilizing Thomas”
“Yah right! If we leave the battle area then we become an even bigger target. No way are we leaving here. Hang on a minute”
The dropship went into a corkscrew spin that would have been difficult for a ship half its size before leveling out again.
“Like I was saying, you two want to get busy killing the enemy fighters? I can only dodge so much”
The agent spun his turret and fired again at the nearest fighter. The shots missed, but they scared him off a bit.
This wasn’t supposed to go like this. It was supposed to be a quick and easy mission. Land on the Bird of Prey, have Gina finagle their way in, find the generals, shoot them, get out.
But then they had all been in a strategic conference, and the fleet had been about to arrive. The team had had no choice but to barge in, guns blazing.
Of course the guards had not approved of that, and a firefight had broken out in the conference room, the team pinned between the generals and their bodyguards, and the security team. An RPG from Thomas had cleared the security team out for long enough for them to kill the generals and their bodyguards.
Without the crossfire the security team hadn’t stood a chance. But on the way out they had been fighting the entire time, and Thomas had been shot.
Things had gone down from there. They had rigged a gurney for Thomas and rushed him back through the halls fighting a running battle with security. Every corner, every intersection had become an opportunity for a crossfire, for a deadly trap, for another gunfight.
Finally they reached the hangar, and managed to get out thanks to a timely distraction by Gina and Lori splattering the security squad with the turrets.
They had blasted out of there, and then tried to reach the Redeemer as it jumped in, pursued by dozens of fighters and streams of cannon fire. It was a miracle that they weren’t dead already.
The agent fell back into his rhythm, locate, aim, track, aim ahead, fire, next target. Slowly but surely with him, Alexander, Kral, and Katrina operating the turrets they managed to clear enough fighters to let Redeemer lower the shields.
They touched down, still firing back out the bay doors until the shield went back up. As soon as it did the agent leapt out of the firing couch, ran to the doors, slapped a breath mask on Thomas, and rushed him straight to the infirmary.
Once Thomas was secure he moved to join Zane on the bridge.
“How goes the war?”
“Not so well. Without their generals its going better, but with them we would have been butchered. I am glad that you got the mission done”
“Have we ever not?”
“Thats true. Still, I shudder to think of the day that you and your team fail before a battle”
“Hopefully that’ll only happen when Callion’s new fleet is coming in”
Zane paused in barking out his orders to look at the agent incredulously.
“What?”
“Because he only has the drone ships? Far fewer living crewers? The Annihilator, strong enough to take on a fleet all by itself? Less loss of life on our side”
Zane nodded before turning back to the battle. The agent left him to it. He wanted to make sure that Thomas was being treated properly, and then he needed to sleep.

I don;t have a title for this yet

So, this is a fantasy story that I am hoping to make ongoing like Hunting has been. I'll work on this when I don't feel inspired to write Hunting, like today

The tavern was smoky, the light dim as Braun walked in. His armour clinked as he sauntered over to the bar.
He knew that the patrons would be watching him. He had the dangerous grace of a killer about him.
He walked over to the bar and sat. The barman knew him, knew his order. He turned to look at the crowd as he picked up his usual snifter of Fellwinter wine. He twisted slightly so that his greatsword would not jab into his back as he took a small sip of the drink.
It was expensive, and needed to be made in very specific and dangerous conditions. It was also potent, strong enough to stun the proverbial horse. It was one of the few drinks that he enjoyed.
He sipped it again and felt its icy coldness flow down his throat. He could feel it all the way down into his stomach when it finally warmed up enough so as to be similar to his body temperature.
He sipped again and smiled at the taste. It was exquisite.
He put the glass down on the counter, careful not to warm it with his hands. As he put it down embers danced on his hands. Ever since the transformation he had had troubles with that. Those embers, the heat, the fact that most drinks could do nothing to cool him and often boiled as they went down his throat. Some called it a gift in this land, but he called it a curse. Never to be cold, never to have a moments respite from the burning heat. He could no longer sweat, as his body expelled liquids faster than he could take them in. The one upside of that was that it seemed he no longer needed to drink.
He turned back to look at the crowd and saw a man staring at him. The tight fitting skullcap with the point at the top was an obvious sign of a wizard if the robes weren’t a giveaway. Or the age and the beard. Or the staff.
Some people just overdid things. Like the woman at his side. She had her hair braided with blades tied into it. Then she had the leather armour and the twin bandoliers covered in throwing knives, tools, picks, and assorted odds and ends. She practically screamed ‘housebreaker’. Likely those two would be looking for a front man for their adventures.
Braun did not do stupid things like that. He worked his jobs. But he did not ‘adventure’. he was not some fool looking for death.
As if determined to prove his point the two got up and started walking towards him.
“You’d do better to look at the Monkey’s Paw. Its down the street. That place attracts more adventuring types”
He turned to pick up his glass when he caught a flash of motion from the corner of his eye.
His instincts saved him as he fell backwards off the chair and his glass exploded in a hail of magical darts. He rolled back to his feet as the mage began another spell and the woman drew a dagger and a wand.
“Whatever you want its not worth getting involved with me” he growled as he reached for his sword.
But it was too crowded in the tavern for him to use his sword to best effect and he didn’t want to risk hurting the other patrons until they joined in the fight against him.
So he grabbed a chair and lobbed it at the woman. She ducked it of course but that gave him enough time to run out of the way of the wizard’s next spell, an orb of acid.
He kept his running dodge going, barreling into the woman. If he could lock her down the wizard would likely not want to risk throwing another spell lest he hit her and he could hopefully stop her from activating the wand or throwing a dagger at him.
He locked his arms around her, pinning her arms at her sides. He could feel her dagger pressed against his armour, but it was his armour. The blade would not get through.
He began to squeeze and his arms burst into flame as he did so. He smelled burning flesh and she screamed in pain as her flesh charred and blackened.
Mid scream her voice cut out into chanted words and bolts of silvery light flashed from the wand to smack into his stomach. He couldn’t see them but he had recognized the spell so he knew what they would do. The darts caused him little pain but there was no way for him to dodge these ones. Eventually they would wear him down.
He squeezed harder, hoping to take the woman out of the fight before she could do much more damage. He felt her bend, and saw her flesh char before she finally passed out.
As soon as he dropped her and turned to face the wizard he was hit in the chest by a lightning bolt. The force of the bolt lifted him off his feet, every hair on his head standing on end, as he was flung across the room and through the wall. He landed and bounced to a stop in the snow drifts outside. His heat immediately began to melt them into a slush puddle.
He pushed himself to his feet and stood, wavering, muscles still quivering from the electrical discharge. The wizard was taking a moment to make sure that his companion still lived. Admirable, but it gave Braun time to recover.
Now that he was outside he had room to use his sword. He reached over his shoulder and drew it forth, six feet of cold blue steel, forged in the fires of the smith city of Mithror. It gleamed in the afternoon sunlight as he stood in the puddle, legs set waiting for the wizard.
The wizard looked up from the body and took in the man with the gleaming, if muddied plate and the glowing sword.
Then he began another incantation.
Braun didn’t give him the chance to finish it. He whipped his sword around his head and slammed into down into the ground. As it hit the ground fire flowed down his arms and lanced out, racing in a sheet until it struck the wizard. It was the wizards turn to fly backwards, launched by the force of the blast.
He fell against the far wall, robes smoking.

Hunting you Hunting me Part 2: Chapter 1

So yes, this is back. I couldn't write anything else. I guess I can't leave a job undone. or maybe I just want to see some resolution for these characters before I start something else.
Anyways, here is chapter 1 of part two. Maybe someday I'll write about the war, but for now I'm finishing the story.

The agent stood on the bridge of the Redeemer. It had been a long year. Four years of killing, fighting, nothing. More of what he had been trying to escape. The only positive that he could see was that he had so far managed to hold the Earth Council back and that no more members of his team had died.
His team really had become a team. They worked as a unit, anticipating each other, working together perfectly. Each and every one of them knew what was expected of them in combat, and filled that role.
He felt Kral by his shoulder.
“Another mission Kral?” He was one who had turned out so very well. When the team had first formed Kral had been ready to put a bullet through his head, convinced that he was working for Callion. Their first fight, with Callion’s private army when still hunting Sho had begun to change Kral’s mind.
The four years of commanding the team and leading them to victory again and again had convinced him fully. He was now the agent’s adjutant and second command, in fact if not in name.
“No sir”
The agent turned to look at Kral, who had something between a grimace and a smile on his face.
“Then what?”
“You asked to be told as soon as Callion made his move. Hes made it”
“He tried to take control of the Arc? What’s happening? What’s the status?” he spun past Kral and marched straight for the nearest screen.
“Computer: Pull up all recent reports on the Arc”
“No, don’t worry boss. Its not that”
“Then what? You said he had made his move”
“He has. You know how all the Arc’s resources have been going into that top secret construction project lately? We thought he was building a private fleet? We weren’t far wrong”
Kral swung a portscreen over to the agent and tapped it to awaken it.
“Its his flagship. His new flagship. She is a monster”
The agent stared at the screen. Kral was right. The ship was a monster. Ten kilometres long, every inch bristling with guns, torpedoes, missile launchers, and shield nacelles.
The agent shook his head. Shields. He still couldn’t believe that those had been invented. The ability to stop things from hitting the ship? Incredible.
But even more incredible was the scale of the ship, the Annihilator. Twice the size of any other ship out there with four times the firepower and triple the shield to mass ratio. There would be a massive power drain from all that shielding, but it was still incredible. Almost nothing would be able to penetrate those shields.
And with that much firepower and shielding nothing would be able to stop it short an entire fleet. It was going to destroy the Earth forces.
“Its called the Annihilator. Callion had it built in secret using his own funds mostly so that he could keep it after the war ended”
“With that much firepower privately owned he could basically take whatever he wanted”
“Thats right. And have you seen the carrying capacity? Three full fighter wings. Almost all the extra space is devoted to generators, but what’s left has more than enough room for the extra two fighter wings”
“Does it also have triple the ground vehicles and landers?”
“Actually no. Those are carried in this” Kral swiped at the screen and a new image popped up.
A round bellied ship with virtually no weapons, but bristling with shield nacelles. It was again the size of a regular ship.
“This is the new Super-Carrier Class that he had designed. The Belt facilities are producing exclusively these and fighters. Each of these can carry one hundred landers, two hundred assault tanks, two hundred bombers, and four thousand ground soldiers. In power armour”
“And I’m assuming that these also carry fighters?”
“Yes. Two wings. And the truly odd thing is that they have modular interiors. So, spend a day or two in space dock, and they can switch out their ground forces and landers for an additional fighter wing, or their fighter wings triple the ground forces. The two wings and ground forces are the standard configuration”
“How are they going to get the pilots for these things? Thats ninety new pilots for the Annihilator and another sixty new pilots for each of the Carriers they produce”
“Another ninety actually. As soon as they get them built they are switching them out for all fighters. But they don’t need that many pilots. Of course Callion took only veterans to pilot his fighters, but the rest are using the new fighter design”
“How many new designs are there?”
“There are, so far, five. The Star Dreadnought, that’s the Annihilator, the Super-Carrier, the Annihilator’s fighters, the Annihilator’s bombers, and the Super-Carriers fighters. The bombers and fighters belonging to the Annihilator just have better everything; advanced shielding, better weapons, and faster top speeds. Better armour and more agile too.
“But the fighters for the Super-Carriers are all remote controlled”
“What?”
“Thats right. The fighters themselves have rudimentary A.I.s inside them that tell them when to fire and control the juking dodging and things like that. But the main actions are controlled by pilots via remote”
“And then when the fighter is destroyed those pilots don’t die and further learn from their mistakes. This is going to change the ace of warfare”
“It may not be as good as you think. Callion is still throwing hundreds of green and untrained pilots into combat situations. Losses are going to be catastrophic. And to make it worse as soon as a pilot’s ship survives a battle they get promoted to handling two ships at once. The two are basically linked together, so when one jukes, the other jukes, when one targets something, the other also tries to target it. But its going to be chaos. Pilots will be thinking with the one and so the other will collide with allied ships”
The agent shook his head “You are right. I don’t know what Callion is thinking. I wouldn’t be mad except that he is risking the lives of the pilots of actual fighters, not to mention those of every crewer aboard a capital ship”
“I know, I know. I makes no sense”
“How long until the first of these reaches the battlefront? The sooner they get here the sooner we can start to integrate them”
“There is more bad news about that unfortunately. They won’t be coming in waves. Callion is assembling them all into one massive fleet double the strength of any previous fleet”
“And he is going to bring that in as a massive hammer against the Earth forces?”
“Thats right”
“Haven’t we already proved that thats not how to fight them? Show them a massive force and they just retreat only to harry you from the sides”
“Callion said in the press release that this will be different. He’s going to get us to infiltrate their fleet and assassinate command crew right before his fleet arrives, hopefully leaving them in disarray. Further, he says that he is taking his fleet straight for Earth. They can’t ignore him then. They’ll need to face him before then, or at least at Earth en masse as a fleet using fleet tactics or he will pound Earth from orbit and head on to Venus”
“He said all of this in a press release?”
“Some of it was sent to the other commanders in private documents. I might add that they are no happier about being kept in the dark about this than we were”
“Remind me to tell Alexander good job”
“Actually it wasn’t Alex this time. The other commanders forwarded these messages to us even though Callion expressly told them not to”
“So either they dislike being bossed around or they appreciate what we do and know the value of keeping your elite strike force updated as to the state of events”
“My guess is a little of both”
The agent put down the screen, which was now showing estimated deployment patterns and possible tactics using the new ships, and walked back to the window. The spiral of a distant galaxy floated before his vision, magnified until he could see the spiral with his naked eye.
“Clear screen. Resume normal”
The image of the galaxy vanished and was replaced by drifting debris and bodies. They had fought a small band of Earth raiders not too long ago and the debris from both sides was still floating thick. It had not yet been long enough for it to drift with the currents of space. The entire force of raiders had been destroyed, but they had inflicted heavy damage on the agent’s fleet and taken out a carrier and a destroyer in exchange.
“What are you planning Callion? What are you planning?”

Found words poem

This is my found words poem for writers craft. We have to take words from tings and make a poem out of them. I made mine out of Closer to the Truth, Bye Bye Babylon, Gravity Hurts, Creeping in my Soul by Cryoshell, several quotes from Star wars, and My way, Working, and Crazie$ by I Fight Dragons. This is yet a work in progress, so advice is welcome.

When you are calm, at peace,
Peace is a lie and all the ashes
And all the thieves, I am lost
Here I am in the modern age

Its burning me, eating me
Alive.
Don’t you see?
Swarms of evil eyes and lonely souls

I’m not perfect I’m just who I am
Only a master of evil
There’s a body on the floor
In the darkness

Not leave it in darkness
Its over. It is you who are evil
My way, your way
From my point of view it is balance

I can’t take it anymore.
Its hard to breathe
I resisted, but I’m breaking down
None of us can make it on our own

I’ve got news for you
We’re meant to be
Not as reflections,
But as we imagine angels
Tear shaped

You don’t belong
You won’t let me be
Be gone, be gone
I see your face

But maybe they’re right
And we all feel the same way you do
How can I let this go? Oh no
And here I am, I am

I am gone

Its getting out of control
Don’t you see my nightmares
Out of darkness you will run
Burning in the sun, oh no

Maybe if I lose my disguise
To bring balance like leaves
Falling down slowly
Like a body on the floor

Rising despair, quicker, easier
Turn again to suffering, hate
Through victory I’ll be them
And less and less of me

Friends say, my way
Your way, their way
They all say
I don’t give a damn

Suddenly release eternity
From pride we’ll fall
Don’t you know?
My chains are broken
